Cowpeas or Pigeon Peas

Cowpeas or Pigeon Peas are similar to Black Eyed Peas is also know as Red Gram, Toor, Congo pea or Gunga Pea and grow in tropical regions of the world. Pigeon Peas are full of potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. And contain some iron, sodium, zinc, copper, selenium and manganese. Pigeon Peas also contain Vitamins A, C, and B Vitamins too. Pigeon Peas are good for the spleen, stomach, and pancreas and also are slightly diuretic. Pigeon peas are also good for settling the stomach, lowering stomach acidity, and makes a very balanced food that is low in calories and fat.
