Chia Seeds

Chia Seeds are full of anti-oxidants and Omega 3 oils and also protein, fiber, boron, and calcium. They don’t spoil quickly like flax seeds do so you can keep them on hand for a long time. And they also absorb a lot of water thus coating the GI tract so many people feel they prevent the absorption of some calories thus helping you lose weight. Chia Seeds are easily digested and in some small trials they found that eating Chia Seeds gave you more energy and stamina. You can put them in salads and also cook them in other cereals … and because they have a very mild taste they can be added to almost everything.
