Health Benefits of Garden Peas

Garden Peas can help you lower your cholesterol because they contain nicotinic acid. Peas also improve your immune system, lower glucose levels and promote bone health and cardiovascular health. Peas are high vitamin C which is a great antioxidant that protects the body from cell damage. Peas are full of vitamin K, manganese, vitamin B1, folate, vitamin A, tryptophan, lutein, phosphorus, magnesium, B6, protein, niacin, riboflavin, copper, iron, zinc, and potassium. And one cup of peas give you 1/3 of your daily fiber. Peas contain lower amounts of calcium and phosphorus than beans, but about the same amount of protein.
