Health Benefits of Chai Tea

Chai Tea has lots of health benefits because it contains tea but also lots of antioxidants that help you feel great! Chai is soothing and relaxing-I drink 2 cups every morning. Chai usually contains cinnamon, anise or fennel, ginger, cloves, black pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom-all these herbs help the GI tract relax, relieve gas, and improve digestion. They improve the immune system, aid in cardiovascular health, help with stress, and they are anti-inflammatory in action. And Chai Tea is always made with milk but you can use soy, almond, or rice milk instead. There is some evidence that Chai Tea might help with preventing cancer, lower your cholesterol, reduce high blood pressure, and also help with Alzheimer’s disease. I’ve had a few friends who’ve changed from drinking coffee to drinking Chai — and now they are hooked on the taste!
