We’ve learned over the years that if we take care for others we’ll get a pat on the back and feel good about ourselves.
This means our self worth is connected to how much we are loved… and that means our self-esteem comes from outside of us… not from inside.
This leads to feeling out of control, feeling we don’t belong, feeling frail, abandoned and powerless… and all of this creates depression.
Once we break free and start loving ourselves with all our faults, we break free of this cycle, free to be ourselves, free to love… and be loved… just because we are alive!
