Health Benefits of Chitosan or Eating Shrimp Shells

Studies have been done by leading universities showing that Chitosan or ground up shrimp shells can lower cholesterol, especially bad cholesterol and increases good cholestrol and lowers triglycerides too… and it helps you lose weight.


It seems that Chitosan blocks the absorption of fats into the body thus lowering cholesterol. Thus Chitosan can lower the risk of heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and also weight gain related diseases. Chitosan also helps you feel full so you don’t eat as much… which is great for losing weight. Chitosan is a great soluble fiber.

Some people say that fat soluble vitamins and minerals could be lost if you use Chitosan but over the years…that has never been proven.
