The Relaxed Soul on “Forgiveness Starts at Home”

We tend to think that forgiveness is for everyone else… but it’s impossible to forgive anyone else until we forgive ourselves.

You know… the whole process of confession is powerful… for us to admit we feel sad about our actions… thus talking to God and saying out loud  — “I screwed up here… I’m sorry”.

We are talking to God, the God that lives within our own heart… the Kingdom of God is within.

When we do that we start the whole process of cleansing our soul… of moving from damaging guilt and shame to a place of inner peace. Nothing can be more connecting to our own feelings… than to let go of all the negativity we hold inside.

Thus we see the world anew… a rebirth you might say… a rebirth that needs to be done on a regular basis to allow our soul to fly high.

Not only that… but we start a new way of living… we learn from our mistakes and move in a whole new direction. It’s one thing to give lip service by saying we are sorry, but a whole new world when we walk a new talk and life changes… and that’s what it takes…

Although we do not share the same spiritual path, I was moved by this post. Forgiveness is a powerful thing. And self-forgiveness is the essential foundation for each of us, I believe.

    So very thoughtful.

    Thank you.
