Many great scientific articles show that when we write about our past the pain of the past disappears and it’s replaced with a feeling of peace. Writing in a diary, journaling on a trip, and taking the time to write down daily thoughts… diffuses all the day in day out emotions that normally create stress and anxiety.
Even taking the time to do some automatic writing can be very therapeutic… allow anything that comes up to be written down… and then going back and making sense of it later. This exercise allows spirit to take over and a lot of important messages that your soul needs to hear are written down.
This allows your soul to do the writing instead of your mind… it frees your soul from the judgement of mind… so you can blurt out anything that comes from your heart. And letting go of judgement is very important… otherwise you stifle your spirit and nothing happens.
You become a third party to your past when writing, thus you see the past as a bystander that’s looking in with curiosity. And because the past is over, most of the emotion is gone, and thus your wisdom kicks in shedding light on the past… from a new sage like perspective.
It’s kind of like looking into a mirror and knowing that it’s not you… but also knowing it is you… and thus you can see what’s going on from a more loving and accepting place.
Thus you free your mind from the past allowing forgiveness to take hold, and over time you sooth the heart… and eventually forgive, forget, and move on… as the Divine Being you are.
