Whole Foods/Plant Based – “Moringa Stew” – Great Tasting Healthy Food

Here is a simple yet powerful stew that will do your body good.

Made with lots of roots and veggies that are full of energy… and at the same time nutritionally packed full of goodness with Moringa.

Moringa is one of the best all around herbs that you can add to any food, Moringa has very little taste but has an amazing amount of healing goodness.


4 – Large Taro Roots or you can use Potatoes – Cubed

1 – Large Sweet Potato – Cubed

1 – Large Yucca Root – or you could use Jerusalem Artichokes – Cubed

1 – Cup of Celery – Chopped

1 – Large Onion – Chopped

1 – Large Red Bell Pepper – Chopped

1 – Large Green Bell Pepper – Chopped

1 – Cup Fresh or Dried Moringa Leaves

Vegetable Broth – Enough to cover all the veggies in the pot.

Salt and Pepper – To Taste

Small Amount of Spray on Veggie Oil. – Use Very Little

Spray the bottom of your large soup pot with oil, (use very little) and then saute the onions and bell pepper until translucent. Now add Taro, Sweet Potato, Yuca and Celery and cover with veggie stock and simmer until all are tender. Take some of the Sweet Potato and broth and put it in a blender and blend until smooth, then pour that back into pot giving the stew a nice orange yellow color. Now add salt and pepper to taste… and at the last moment add the Moringa Leaves when it is slightly cool.

Let cool just a little and serve and you have a great tasting health invigorating meal.

Taro Root contains lots of vitamins A, C, B, and E vitamins as well as lots of trace minerals such as copper, magnesium, calcium, iron, selenium, manganese, zinc, potassium, and beta-carotene and cryptoxanthin which are great antioxidants helping to protect you from disease and slow the aging process… and a good amount of protein too! In fact Taro Root is more nutritious than potatoes and it’s gluten free. Taro Root is a cholesterol free and low in sodium too, contains B vitamins important for boosting up your immune system… and it’s a low fat food.

Yucca also works well for Fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, and for people with high blood pressure. And studies show that it’s a good antibacterial agent and anti-fungal agent too! Yucca also helps purify and detox the blood… and at the same time helps with gout. And Yucca is full of antioxidants that help clean up free radicals helping you to stay young.

Yucca also helps with hypoglycemia and diabetes too… helping to lower blood glucose and stabilizing it… and Yucca can lower cholesterol levels. Yucca can also be used for glaucoma and Yucca is full of Vitamin C and lots of great minerals plus it also contains protein, potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.

Celery lowers blood pressure, helps with weight loss, and it’s full of fiber that’s important for colon health. Also celery is full of plant type hormones that sooth away stress and help with anxiety and help you feel peaceful. At the same time celery is full of amazing amounts of lutein, zeaxanthin, and beta-carotene that are important for eye health and powerful antioxidants that boost your immune system, fight off cardiovascular disease, strokes, and cancer.

Moringa is full of great amino acids, vitamins, and minerals… and Moringa contains more that 4 times the amount of beta-carotene found in carrots, lots more Vitamin C than what you find in oranges. It also contains 2 to 3 times the amount of protein found in many dairy products. Full of calcium, and more than 7 times the potassium found in bananas.

Moringa also has lots of zinc, which is great for boosting the immune system thus preventing colds. It balances your blood sugar and lowers your cholesterol too, and it boosts metabolism and stimulates your energy level… helping you to lose weight and getting you through your day.
