Turmeric-Tea Tree Salve – Great for Wound Healing

We have lots of little nicks, cuts, and abrasions and the over the counter antibiotic creams are great, but turmeric is wonderful for healing just about everything.

In India turmeric pastes have been used for hundreds of years for healing skin irritations.

Turmeric-Tea Tree Salve

Turmeric-Tea Tree Salve

Here is a great healing turmeric/tree tree salve that everyone should have in their medicine cabinet for minor cuts, scrapes, and other skin irritations… a little of this goes a long way.

Ingredients:

5 – Tablespoons of Organic Coconut Oil

4 – Tablespoons of  Grated Bees Wax – the more wax you used the harder the salve

1 – Tablespoon of Honey

2 – Tablespoons of Bentonite Clay Powder

2 – Tablespoons of Ground Turmeric

4 – Drops of Tea Tree Oil

2 – Drops of Arnica Oil

1 – Tablespoon of Vitamin E

1/2 – Teaspoon of Calendula Powder

1/2 – Teaspoon of Comfrey Powder

Put bees wax and coconut oil in a sauce pan, use an old pot that you don’t care about, it’s hard to get the bees wax out of it again. Heat on low heat to 180 degrees (check with a candy thermometer) don’t let it go higher it could catch on fire, warm for 15 to 20 minutes and stir constantly.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then add everything else except the other oils, you don’t want this to splash or anything else — slowly!

Mix Well

After this mixture has cooled for 20 minutes mix in the other oils.

Put in a air tight container for later use… I recommend glass but plastic will also work.

This salve will keep for a long time.

Put a little dab of this salve on the irritated area, then cover with it with bandaid.

This salve work wonders for inflammation, pain, swelling, and as a good antibiotic salve for healing.

But if you find that your rash or skin irritation is getting worse after a couple says – be sure to check with your doctor right away.
