If you’ve ever had back pain and wanted desperately to end the cycle of medications, therapy, and doctors visits then you might want to try inversion therapy.
Let me tell you my story:
I’ve had back pain since I was in my teens when I was out working in the fields with my father and was pulling out rice boxes. Those wooden rice boxes weighed at least 200 to 300 lbs when soaking wet. We would take a crow bar and lift up on one edge and get the box up and out of the water and onto dry land.
Then one day I pulled up and something gave way, I was in terrible pain and could not move. I ended up at home and went to the doctor who gave me pain relievers. It took weeks for me to be able to move without tremendous pain. But eventually I was able to walk and get around. What I didn’t know was I crushed a disk in my back… it complete disappeared.
All the rest of my life I’ve had back pain and ended up going to doctors, chiropractors, massage therapist, and all kinds of therapies. But sooner or later my back pain would come back. I even had weeks of physical therapy and traction… and that did help some.
In fact my back pain got so bad that I one time had to crawl from the bedroom to the car screaming in pain. Finally at the emergency room they gave me an injection of pain relievers and I was able to be free of pain for a little while. It took weeks to recover from that bout of back pain.
Then I read about inversion therapy… and it really got my attention. So I bought myself a set of gravity boots. I had always worked out and found that exercise was important for keeping my back in shape. So I had the strength to pull myself up and hang with inversion boots for 10 minutes.
Later I found out I had 3 narrowed disks, 2 fused vertebra (the place where the disk was crushed), and a transitional segment in my lower back that was deformed… kind of triangular shaped, secondary arthritic changes all over the place, plus I had sciatic nerve involvement.
From the very first time I used my inversion boots I was amazed. I had my back pain slowly disappear over the course of a week. I have to say that nothing worked as well as inversion therapy. No drugs, no manipulation, no nothing… it just seemed to disappear over a few days.
Now days they have great inversion tables that make it so much easier to hang upside down or almost upside down for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. And these tables can be folded up and put in the closet or you can slide them under the bed.
My disk spaces became wider, my my back pain and sciatic pain disappeared, and I now feel great and have no back pain at all. And inversion therapy has a great side effect of making one feel revitalised and more alive… it’s amazing what hanging upside down can do.
I have recommended inversion therapy for lots of people and everyone of them has had great success and their pain has disappeared. But inversion therapy is not for everyone, if you have very high blood pressure perhaps inversion therapy is not for you, or if you have other problems check with your doctor.
Not every therapy is great for every body… but from my personal experience inversion therapy gave me a new lease on life.
