“Luo Han Guo – The Long Life Fruit”

History – Luo Han Guo or (Siraitia grosvenori) and some call it Monk Fruit or Monordica Fruit, and some call it “The Longevity Fruit”. It’s a truly amazing fruit that goes back to the 13th century… named after buddhist monks called “Luohan”.

Grows – Luo Han Guo fruit grows in the tall mountains in Southern China in Guangxi Province, where there’s a long history of people living to be a very old.

Luo Han Guo also grows in Vietnam, Japan, and other tropical places in the world.

Cancer – A Japanese study showed that the mogrosides (a type of sugar) found in Luo Han Guo helps with skin cancer in mice.

Diabetes – A study in the Journal of British Medicine showed that Luo Han Guo was able to lower blood sugar levels, lower kidney albumin levels, and prevent cellular damage in lab animals with diabetes. In Japan Luo Han Guo has been used and approved for years for treating diabetes.

Chinese Medicine – In Traditional Chinese Medicine Luo Han Guo is used for creating long life. It’s used to balance heat and the powerful life giving energy of the body. It’s also used for sore throats, coughs, and congestion of the respiratory tract… and for gastritis. Luo Han Guo has a cooling effect on the spleen and lungs.

Other Uses – Luo Han Guo has long been used as a natural sweetener in drinks and cooked food. Luo Han Guo is up to 300 times sweeter than normal table sugar.

Luo Han Guo as a fresh fruit is not very tasty, but dried it’s refreshing. It’s also been used in stews, candy, cough medicines, cookies, cakes and many more edible delights.

Cholesterol – Luo Han Guo lowers cholesterol and trigs, and increases good cholesterol… thus helping to prevent cardiovascular events and strokes.

Contains – It contains some sweeteners that are not sugars… such as mogroside Ⅳ, triterpenoid glycosides, and D-mannitol.

Mannitol is important for edema… mannitol is used burns and cerebral edema.

Luo Han Guo contains Vitamin C – a great antioxidant which prevents cardiovascular disease, strokes, and cancer.

And Luo Han Guo contains fatty acids such as oleic acid, lauric acid, linoleic acid, stearic acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, and decanoic acid. Which are important for cardiovascular disease, depression, and lowering cholesterol.

Plus Luo Han Guo contains iron for anemia, iodine for thyroid function, magnesium for osteoporosis and cardiovascular health, selenium for boosting immunity, and other great trace minerals.

Antihistamine – Luo Han Guo is also a good antihistamine thus helping with allergies.

Low Glycemic Index – Luo Han Guo has a low glycemic index and it’s sweet without any kind of terrible after taste when dried.

Dose – Most people use dried Luo Han Guo fruit, about 15 grams in a 1/2 liter of water, simmered for 20 minutes… then drinking 3 or 4 cups of tea each day.
