“Natural Relief from Aches, Pains, and Stomachaches”

“Here is a quick and simple way to get rid of aches, pains, and stomachaches using an old sock and some flax seeds or rice.”

Heat is wonderful for stiff necks, muscles aches, joint pains, and the simple stomachaches.

Here is a simple remedy:

Hot and Cold Sock - Really Works!

Hot and Cold Sock – Really Works!

Take one of your old socks and fill it with either whole dry flax seeds or whole dry rice, and then tie the end of the sock with a string so the rice or flax seed stays in the sock.

Leave room so the filling can move around and conform to your body.

Then place the stuffed sock in the microwave just long enough to heat up and become warm… check the sock often to see if it’s warm.

It takes a little longer for flax seeds to heat up… but flax seeds stay warm for longer periods of time compared to rice. You can also use buckwheat hulls and small glass beads you can buy at craft stores.

Then place the sock on the area of your body with pain… it feels great.

And you can alternate between hot and cold by making another sock full of rice or flax seeds and putting that sock in the freezer… works wonders!

Those instant cold and hot packs sold at drugs stores are extremely expensive and this is a very inexpensive alternative that works.

I have not tired other grains but beans might also work… experiment and see what works best for you.

You can also add dried aromatherapy herbs to your sock for a nice aroma that soothes away tension. Use pieces of dried lemon rind, dried lavender flowers, dried chamomile flowers, pieces of cinnamon sticks, dried pieces of orange peel… and dried peppermint leaves… let your imagination run wild.

I’m sure you’ll feel better in no time.
