“There are many ways to heal gout, and here are just a few that will make a huge difference in the lives of those suffering from the pain, swelling, and the inflammation of gout.”
Gout is an affliction that creates terrible pain because of uric acid buildup in joints which causes pain, swelling, redness… and if left untreated can cause kidney damage.
And some foods are high in high-purine agents that cause gout such as organ meats. But to date there has been no link to vegetarian based purine agents such as lentils, mushroom, and asparagus and other plant based sources… and diet change is especially important.
Once there was a man who was feeling great and he had bacon and eggs for breakfast, wheat toast, and orange juice.
For lunch he had a creamy soup made with dairy products, and at night he would have salami, cheese, and wine. Needless to say over a period of time he came down with terrible gout in all of his toes, and was in tremendous pain. He went to his doctor and was put on medication to remove uric acid from his tissues.
But later he became a vegan and all of his gout symptoms disappeared and never returned.
Eating lots of green leafy veggies helps to prevent gout, drinking alkalizing green juices made from green leafy veggies, drinking lots of water, staying away animal protein and fats, reducing salt intake, staying away from processed foods, fast food, alkalizing the body with alkalized water, staying away from wheat, spelt, barley, and rye, and soda, and no artificial chemicals which cause inflammation… helps to prevent gout.
If a person is overweight that also tends to create uric acid build up. So weight loss is key to preventing and healing gout. Even if a person is only 10 to 20 pounds over weight, those few extra pounds may be pivotal in curing and preventing gout.
Water is important because uric acid can be flushed from the body and thus water helps to relieve irritation caused by inflammation. Thus drinking at least 1 1/2 to 2 liters of water every day is important for preventing and getting rid of gout.
Coffee is very acidic and is a powerful diuretic, thus coffee increases the likelihood of gout. Cutting back on coffee consumption and all caffeinated beverages can help to prevent and heal gout.
Alcohol is another agent that acidifies the body and promotes the production of uric acid. So eliminating alcohol from the a person’s life can improve symptoms, help with weight loss, lower inflammation, improves hydration levels, and puts a person on the road to recovery from gout.
Lowering triglycerides is important for preventing and healing gout. Those with high trigs levels seem to have a higher incidence of gout outbreaks.
One must lower the amount of fructose or fruit sugar one ingests. Keep most fruit to a minimum, also lowering intake of carbs, alcohol, refined sugars, and fats such as added oils… because carbs, fats, alcohol and refined sugars increase triglyceride levels.
But eat berries because berries are very helpful in healing gout, especially tart cherries and just about any berry you can think of. Because berries contain lots of antioxidants that help to prevent and heal gout.
Being a couch potato does not help, getting around and moving is important. Exercise keeps uric acid from building up in bodily tissues. Thus walking 5 miles a day, swimming 5 miles a day, bike riding for 7 or 8 miles a day, weight training for a few minutes a day, and many more activities can help to prevent and keep uric build up under control.
Plus exercise helps to prevent cardiovascular disease, cancer, and also helps improve a person’s mood and outlook on life.
There are a few herbs and mixtures of herbs that also help with the symptoms of gout.
Take equal parts of ginger, fenugreek, turmeric, and 1/4 that amount of activated charcoal. Then mix together and place this mixtures in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Now take a heaping teaspoon of this mixture… and mix it with water and drink daily. This wonderful mixture helps with inflammation, swelling, and pain.
Other herbs that help with the symptoms of gout include: stinging nettle, bilberry, celery seed, chamomile, bromelian, turmeric, boswellia, fenugreek, dandelion root, burdock root, apple cider vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice, red beet juice, tart cherry juice, black bean broth, cod liver oil, and the Chinese herbs ermiao wan and meadow saffron that can also help with gout symptoms.
