The broth of black beans contains anthocyanins which are also found in tart cherries, red wine, and pomegranates. Thus black bean broth is full of wonderful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents that can help with lots of health problems… plus black beans are very inexpensive.

Black bean broth contains wonderful nutrients that lower uric acid levels in joints and kidneys thus ending the cycle of joint pain associated with this disease. In Taiwan black bean broth is commonly used to treat gout.

And black bean broth also helps with arthritis in general, sooth away pain, swelling, and redness.

Black beans are great for digestive problems because they contain lots of fiber and resistant starch similar to green bananas. And the fiber and the resistant starch creates a good home for probiotic bacteria, with nutrients for growing probiotic bacteria… thus boost immunity.

We should have about 4 lbs of probiotic bacteria in our gut, and at this time most people only have about 20% of that. That means we need to create a more proactive gut environment for growing good bacteria.

Black beans also help the cardiovascular system with soluble fiber to lower cholesterol, and anti-inflammatory agents that help to prevent inflammation in veins and arteries thus preventing heart attacks.

Black bean broth also helps to lower blood sugar and that’s great news for diabetics. Black beans contain proteins and fiber that stabilize blood sugar.

This wonderful broth also contains lots of B – Vitamins that nourish the nervous system and thus improves mood and boosts vitality.

When it comes to cancer prevention black bean broth contains 8 wonderful flavonoids such as kaempferol, nalvidin, delphinidin, quercetin, and petunidin, that help to prevent colon cancer and other types of prevalent cancers. Studies show that eating black beans prevents cancerous growths in the colon.

Black bean broth contains molybdenum which is important for healing impotence in men… and for detoxing the body. Plus black bean broth also contains iron and copper for preventing anemia.

Making organic black bean broth:

Take a 1/2 pound of dried organic dried black beans, wash and remove any stones that sometimes get mixed into dried beans. Place the beans in cold water and let set in the frig over night. Discard this water, and next place the beans in a large pot with 2 liters of filtered water and boil for 2 hours. Remove the beans, (they could be used for other dishes) let the broth cool, then take the broth and pour it into a container with a tight fitting lid and keep it in the frig.

For gout drink 2 cups of this broth daily for the first week. The next week drink one cup each day, then your gout will disappear… then drink at least one cup each week to prevent future gout attacks.

If black bean broth gives you gas you can add some kombu seaweed during the cooking of the beans that will remove the gas causing agents. Also there are enzymes that you can find in drug stores to prevent gas and help you digest beans more efficiently.

Some people also add turmeric and ginger when cooking black bean broth for more anti-inflammatory qualities. And be creative, add onions, garlic, and any other flavoring you like to your black bean broth so it tastes great.

In Brazil black beans are considered a whole separate food group on their food pyramid. Thus giving black beans a prominent place in Brazilian food culture… because black beans have amazing healing qualities.

Give black bean broth a try… it just might heal your body.
