Papaya Leaf Tea – Papaya Leaf Tea cures thrombocytopenia or low platelet counts which will keep a person from clotting. There have been many studies showing that Papaya Leaf Tea can increase platelet counts in cases of vitamin deficiencies, chemotherapy, dengue fever and more. Use a good heaping teaspoon of dried papaya leaves to 2 cups of hot water and let steep for 10 minutes – drink 3 to 5 cups per day.
Soursop Leaf Tea – Soursop leaf tea stimulates platelet production by the bone thus stimulating clot formation, thus helping those with bleeding disorders.
Neem Leaf Tea – Neen has also been shown to stimulate platelet production. Take 12 fresh or dried neem leaves and boil them for 15 minutes in 4 cups of water, let cool and drink 3 or 4 cups daily.
Red Beet Juice – Red beet juice is full of lots of iron and has the ability to boost up red blood cell and platelet production. Drink 1/2 a cup 2 or 3 times a day.
Barley Grass Tea – Take 2 cups of green barley and boil it in a 6 cups of water for 15 minutes then drink 3 or 4 cups daily. Barley greens or grass has the ability to increase platelets and works great.
Sarcandra – Sarcandra Glabra also works to increase platelet count, making it very important for those undergoing cancer treatments and having thrombocytopenia.
Punarnava Mandur – Punarnava works well for liver problems such as jaundice, hepatitis, ascites, toxic and sluggish liver and anemia… including platelet production. It’s a good detoxing agent for the liver and powerful immune boosting agent that helps with cardiovascular disease, increases circulation, and also helps with edema. Take Punarnava 500 mg tablets once or twice a day.
Amala Juice – Amala Juice from the Indian and sometimes called Indian Gooseberry can increase platelet count. Take one tablespoon 2 or 3 times a day.
Ashwagandha Root – Ashwaganda Root is a adaptogen and also a good immune-modulator that prevents immune suppression, and boosts production of red and white blood cells… plus platelets. Take 300 to 600 mgs of Ashwaganda 2 or 3 times a day.
Gotu Kola – Gotu Kola is a powerful adaptogen that may also boosts production of blood cells and platelets. Take 300 to 600 mgs once a day.
Tawa-Tawa Tea – Tawa-Tawa Tea (Euphorbia hirta) boosts platelet production. A study with rabbits at San Pedro College in the Philippines showed a 194% increase in platelet production. Steep 1 teaspoon of dried leaves in one cup of hot water for 10 minutes and drink 2 to 3 times a day.
Rohitarkarishta Syrup – Rohitarkarishta Syrup from India is used in Ayurvedic Medicine has been used for hundreds of years to increase platelets. Take one teaspoon twice daily. (This is a mixture of many different herbs)
Dihuang Zhixue Capsule – This Traditional Chinese herbal remedy is made with many different herbs. It was studied in a double blind study showing marked increases in platelet production without side effects. Check with your local Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner near you.
Blood Well and Restore Immune II Formulas – These are Traditional Chinese Medicine formulas that contain lots of different Chinese herbs. Meditation and Yoga – Studies show that those who participate in learning meditation and yoga have higher platelet counts. This makes lots of sense because stress lowers our immune system and meditation activates, balances, and regulates our immune system making everything work correctly.
