“10 Guidelines for Great Cardiovascular Health”

“Here are 10 simple ways to have cardiovascular health and live for a long time feeling great. To keep from having heart attacks, strokes, and heart disease here are 10 simple ways to stay healthy”

10 Guidelines for Cardiovascular Health

Less than 1% of the population meets all 10 of these simple guidelines for great cardiovascular health. But that can change if we take the time and put in the energy to stay healthy.

Eat a Healthy Diet – To eat lots of veggies and fruits, whole grains, low is saturated fats, low in sugars, high in antioxidants, farm fresh (less than 2 or 3 hours from the farm), GMO Free, no processed food, no added food chemicals, no additives of any kind, no fast food, and lots of absolutely fresh food.

Be a Non-Smoker – To not use tobacco products of any time including chewing tobacco increases the likelihood of having good cardiovascular health.

Have Normal Blood Pressure – Normal blood pressure is extremely important, and the number one reason people come down with cardiovascular disease. And following all of these 10 simple rules will bring about normal blood pressure of 120 over 80… and now the new normal blood pressure is 110 over 70. Any with a blood pressure over 140 has high blood pressure which can lead to heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular disease in general.

Normal Body Mass Index – To have a body with a good ratio of muscle to fat. We have an epidemic of obesity in the world with most people having at least 30 lbs more lose… and that creates cardiovascular disease, strokes, and high blood pressure. Any gym, doctor, or dietitian can test for body mass index.

Exercise – To put in one hour of moderate exercise daily is important. Just walking 5 miles daily can bring about great cardiovascular health. Or biking, swimming, jogging, weight training, hiking, and other activities daily for one hour will bring about great cardiovascular health… and keep body mass index under control.

Low Cholesterol – Following all these guidelines including eating a healthy diet and exercising creates a total cholesterol of less than 200 mg/dl. And with LDL or bad cholesterol that is under 100 mg/dl or even better between 70 to 80. With a HDL or good cholesterol that is at least 50 mg/dl and even better near 60.

Normal Blood Sugar – Following all these rules creates optimal health and because of that normal blood sugar is achieved. Having a fasting blood sugar that is between 72 mg/dl and 110 mg/dl, and during the day and right after eating it might go up to 140 mg/dl… but that is the max.

De-Stressing – Taking the time to relax and be at peace is important. To have a healthy blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar it’s important to learn to meditate and de-stress every morning and every evening. Just 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening makes all the difference in the world.

Drinking Lots of Water – Drinking water is something that we take for granted. But if we become dehydrated our blood thickens which can lead to heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular diseases. Drinking at least 6 to 8 large glasses of water a daily is very important.

Having a Great Outlook on Life – In order to achieve the other 9 guidelines it’s very important to have a good outlook on life. To feel that life is our friend and that we can achieve whatever we put our mind too, and to always look at the bright side of live in life instead of dwelling on the negative. This sound simple but in reality this is the key to great cardiovascular health… without having a great attitude nothing can be accomplished.

Every one of these guidelines hinges upon the other. These guidelines stand as one cohesive unit that’s very important for longevity and really thriving throughout life. About 1/2 the population of the US is either over weight or obese and we have to do something about this so our children will have healthy lives. Our children learn to be healthy by what we do every day. So to teach our children by example using these simple guidelines not only make our generation healthy… but many generations to come healthy.

It’s time to embrace all these guidelines and make them part of our life… so all of us can live a long, happy, healthy… life.
