Ashitaba or Angelica keiskei and also called “Tomorrow’s Leaf” is a powerful herbal remedy that is well known in Asia. Contains – Ashitaba contains lots of trace minerals, beta-carotene for boosting the immune system, also saponins, glycosides, flavonoids, and germanium which also help to boost the immune system, protein, coumarin to prevent excessive clotting, magnesium for good rest and enzyme production, and fiber for constipation.

Easy to Grow – This great plant is relatively easy to grow… and will grow up to 20 to 30 inches tall. And it likes lots of sun with temperatures from around 20 degrees to 85 degrees… with rich soil and good drainage. Once grown and the plant matures the seeds for next years planting can be harvested. Remember this plant has a bright yellow sap which is very unusual – that way you know you have the right plant. Also the seeds need to be placed in 30 degree temperatures for a few days before planting for good germination.

Dose – Most people eat 6 or 7 raw leaves a day, or they can be juiced or made into tea or used in cooking.

Forms – Ashitaba can be found in powders, capsules, teas, tablets, and of course the raw leaves are always great. And the powder can be added to foods and other drinks.

Finding – If you google “Buy Ashitaba _____” lots of places on-line will come up that sell Ashitaba including amazon.com and vitacost.com and it can also be asked for at any local health food store. Seeds for growing Ashitaba can also be found on-line… and it might be possible to find fresh Ashitaba at local Asian Markets.

Some say “No one should go a single day without Ashitaba.”

And people believe Ashitaba is called “Tomorrow’s Leaf” because —- if you eat a leaf today you’ll probably be around tomorrow.
