“Organic Garlic, Pumpkin, and Cilantro Soup”

This tasty recipe is wonderful for lunch and dinner, and it’s packed full of great nutrients that will do the body good. It’s quick, simple, and will be loved by everyone… try this delightful soup tonight.

Organic Garlic, Pumpkin, and Cilantro Soup

Ingredients:

4 – Cups of Freshly Cooked Organic Pumpkin

1 – Cup of Freshly Cooked Organic Potatoes – a great thickening agent

1 1/2 – Cups of Chopped Organic Cilantro

12 – Minced Cloves of Organic Garlic

Enough Organic Veggie Stock to Cover all Ingredients

Salt and Pepper to Taste

(Optional) – Red Pepper Flakes

Take all the ingredients and place in a blender and blend until smooth, or use an emersion blender in a pot. Salt and pepper to taste and it’s ready to eat. Just warm it up and enjoy a very nutritious meal that is amazingly healthy.

Pumpkin is just one of many winter squash, this family also includes Butter Nut, Hubbard, Turban, Kabocha, Acorn, Spaghetti Squash, White Pumpkins, Blue Kokkaido Pumpkins, Cheese Pumpkins, Red Kuri Pumpkins, Sweet Dumpling Pumpkins, and other less know winter squash. Orange fleshed squash and pumpkin have amazing amounts of Beta Carotene and Vitamin A. In fact they contain 300 times the RDA of Vitamin A. With hardly any calories… (only 75 calories per cup) make them a great diet food. And they have lots of fiber which creates a wonderful place for probiotic bacteria to grow and boost your immune system and keep you regular.

Pumpkin helps to regulate blood sugar levels and insulin production, and it also has a very low glycemic index. Which means it breaks down into sugars very slowly making it great for diabetics. Also without oxidization cancer can’t take hold, and that’s why antioxidant rich foods like pumpkin are very important for preventing cancer. Pumpkin works wonders for staving off disease because they are packed full of lots of great antioxidants that protect you from colds, flues, cardiovascular disease, strokes, and even cancer. One cup of pumpkin will supply over 18,000 micrograms of Beta Carotenoids a powerful antioxidant.

Pumpkin contains Cucurbitacin which is a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps to prevent diseases including arthritis. And because inflammation is the root cause of cardiovascular disease this means that pumpkin can make a difference by curtailing cardiovascular disease. And Cucurbitacin is a powerful antimicrobial agent working well to kill off all invading bacteria and viruses. Pumpkin lowers LDL or bad cholesterol because it contains Cucurbita which prevents the formation of cholesterol.

Pumpkin contains Vitamin C a powerful antioxidant, lots of B vitamins for prenatal health and vital energy, magnesium for preventing migraines, tryptophan for getting a good nights rest, Vitamin K to prevent excessive clotting, copper and iron for anemia, zinc for boosting your immune system, potassium for water regulation, manganeses for lots of great things including helping with depression and strong bones, and a healthy dose of fiber to promote probiotic development… and thus boost your immune system. And pumpkin contains great Omega 3 Oils that prevent cardiovascular disease and strokes. One cup of Winter Squash gives you almost 350 mgs of Omega 3 oils. Plus pumpkin is virtually fat free thus making it a great weight loss food.

Garlic contains allicin which in double blind studies has been shown to cut your probability of coming down with a cold or flu by 50%. But allicin must be taken in it’s natural form as fresh garlic. Garlic has been shown to lower blood pressure and manage blood pressure for long periods of time. Garlic has the ability to help you use iron more effectively, so if you are low in iron and taking an iron supplement also take Garlic.

Garlic can help prevent the accumulation of fats in the liver. Garlic increases bile flow from the gallbladder thus it helps to prevent gallstones and congestion of the liver. Garlic has been shown to heal away plaques in arteries… and thus help to improve cardiovascular disease, stokes, and other diseases. Garlic has lots of research showing that it can lower bad cholesterol (LDL Cholesterol) and triglycerides. Also helps to increase good cholesterol (HDL Cholesterol) and thus helps to prevent heart attacks and stokes.

Garlic is a good antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral agent making it great for preventing and curing all kinds of disease processes. One of the best all around preventatives for disease on the planet. And Garlic Tea is great… and it makes a wonderful tea for healing colds and flues. Garlic contains diallyl sulphide, quercetin, nitrosamine, aflatoxin, allin, ajoene, and more great antioxidants that slow the ageing process and protect your DNA.

Cilantro helps to remove lead and other heavy metals from the body. But it’s a slow process, and it would take eating lots of cilantro to remove a lot of toxic heavy metals… but it does work.

Cilantro is a powerful antibacterial agent that helps to kill Salmonella and other bacterial infections. In fact cilantro and cilantro oil helps to keep food from rapidly spoiling. Cilantro contains many great oils that help with microbes and fungi such as cineole, borneol, terpineol, and many more powerful oils.

A compound found in cilantro called “dodecenal” was found to be more powerful than the antibiotic gentamicin in killing Salmonella in laboratory studies. And a study in Brazil found that cilantro oil might be a good agent for cleansing away fungi from the body. And the University of California at Berkley said “We were surprised that dodecenal was such a potent antibiotic.”

Cilantro contains lots of powerful antioxidants that help to boost our immune system and thus prevent disease. And antioxidants also help to prevent DNA damage and promote DNA repair thus slowing the aging process.

Cilantro contains beta-carotene and beta-cryptoxanthin, quercetin, rhamnetin, epigenin, kaempferol, and lutein and zeaxnthin for healthy eyes and to prevent macular degeneration. Cilantro juice contains twice as much antioxidants as broccoli – another reason to always have some cilantro on hand.

Cilantro contains very little carbs, no fats, no cholesterol, and hardly any protein – and 1/4 cup of cilantro only contains about 1 calorie… great weight loss food. Cilantro contains Vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant for cardiovascular health, strokes, and cancer. Also Vitamin A for healthy mucus membranes and eye health… plus Vitamin K for proper clotting and for preventing osteoporosis.
