Health Benefits of Avocados

Avocado contains 70% monounsaturated oil making it just about the same as olive oil. Avocado oil is antiseptic and boosts the immune system… and might end up in your next bottle of mouthwash according to new articles in health journals… because it kills bacteria. And studies also show that avocado oil in small amounts is very good for treating gum disease. Avocado oil increases HDL or good cholesterol significantly and lowers bad cholesterol too… plus studies showed that using avocados and avocado oil helps a person lose weight. Avocados contain large amounts of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids that are great for protecting a person from heart disease and strokes.

And Avocados contain lots of Vitamin’s A, D, & E, and antioxidants such as beta-carotene, which is great for boosting up our immune system and making our blood vessels stronger and more flexible… and avocados are a great anti-inflammatory agent. And the Vitamin E and the linolenic acid in Avocados reduces our chances of coming down with breast, colon, and prostate cancer. And when we eat avocados our hair looks great, and our skin heals faster and prevents wrinkles and age spots.

Health Benefits of Organic Brown Rice

Brown Rice compared to white rice has a lot of health benefits. Brown Rice is full of Thiamine, Niacin, Pyridoxine, Vitamin K, Calcium, Iron, Phosphorus, and Potassium. Brown Rice is rich in fiber, controls blood sugar and cholesterol, and works wonders for ulcers and diarrhea. Plus if a person is debilitated brown rice is very easy to digest and contains needed nutrients for  the growth of bones, muscles, nails, hair, and teeth. Soaking Brown Rice in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking will make it easier to cook. And pressure cooking also preserves more nutrients and cuts the cooking time to about 20 minutes creating fluffy brown rice.

Health Benefits of Carrots

Charlotte Gerson talks about the fact that carrot juice has almost the nutritional value of mothers milk. In fact some children who have a hard time with milk have been put on carrots juice and thrive. But these children need that first mothers milk to attain colostrum which is important. Everyone knows that carrots can help you see better. Carrots are full of beta-carotene, vitamin A, and help to prevent macular degeneration and increase night vision and help to prevent cataracts… and they also contain lutein, zeaxanthin, and xanthophyll for good vision.

Carrots are a good detoxing agent for the liver and the body in general and also contain lots of fiber that helps to reduce bile and fats in the liver… thus helping to prevent fatty liver disease. The fiber in carrots combines with bile and thus helps to remove bile from the liver. Carrots contain very powerful immune boosting agent that helps to prevent disease. Carrots lower cholesterol and thus help to prevent cardiovascular events and strokes. The fiber in carrots binds with LDL cholesterol and thus lowers your cholesterol… and boost your good cholesterol.

Carrots also help to increase fiber in the diet and thus promote the growth of probiotic bacteria… and thus boosting your immune system. Carrots have been studied at Harvard University showing that if you eat more than 6 or 7 carrots a week you prevent strokes. Carrots contain powerful anti-inflammatory agents that rival all the over the counter drugs like aspirin and other pain killers. Thus carrots help with arthritis, joint pain, swelling, redness, tenderness and are a great natural pain killer.

Enjoy!
