This week we had a family member who was very old who was dying. And so my wife and I went to the hospital to see him, and to support his son who was there with him. Yet the older man did not want to go, he was afraid of dying because he didn’t have any spiritual beliefs of any kind.
And the old man was so frail, with hardly any muscles at all, in fact he even had his shoulders taped in order to keep them from separating. He had an oxygen mask on and was gasping for breath. Yet he did not want to let go of life because of fear. And fear is an amazing emotion which will keep a person bound to this earthly plane for long periods of time. So my wife and I talked to this elderly man, telling him about surrendering and letting go, and finding peace with God, the Universe, the One and Only. And about going to the light, seeing the angels coming, and also seeing all of his family and friends who would be waiting for him on the other side of the veil.
We even tried to calm him by helping him relax, and we also did a countdown from 100 to zero, allowing him to relax and let go with every number. And at one point the old man who wasn’t able to talk, turned his head to my wife and a tear welled up in the corner of his eye and rolled down his check… it was powerful. We also talked to his son and reassured him that his father was going to a wonderful place full of life, full of love, full of peace, bliss and eternal joy. We also told the son that he needed to take care of himself, because his father would be leaving soon and he would have lots of things to do when that took place. That he needed to rest, he was spending long hours in the hospital for days and was very tired. So that night he decided to go home and get some rest and sleep.
We also told the son that many times when everyone has finally gone, that gives a person who is transitioning a little breathing room to surrender, and let go and make that final transition. So the son went home to sleep, and we also went home, and about 2 hours later his father passed over to the other side of the veil. And thus the son came back to the hospital to see his father for one last time. And the son thought he was going to be very sad seeing his father’s lifeless body. Yet he was not sad at all, in fact he was happy that his father had passed away and all his suffering was over, and he was at peace.
The son’s mother was a spiritual person and she had passed over many years earlier. And the mother’s passing was very peaceful, because she knew where she was going, and all about the process of moving towards the light. That knowledge gave her great solace and peace. And thus there was no fear of any kind when she did her transition to the other side of the veil.
Surrender is a wonderful process, we are not this flesh and blood, we are spirit, true consciousness which goes on forever. And transition to the other side of the veil can be a very welcoming process for many people who have deep seated beliefs of love in their heart. And that they understand the process, and have also seen how wonderful it can be for many who have also passed over to the other side of the veil. That’s why it’s important to read the spiritual texts, to read about Near Death Experiences, and also have daily spiritual rituals for life. Also meditation can help a person to connect to their Higher Power and to find that great peace needed for making that last great transition.
The great loving Angel of Death, Yama, also called by many other names will come for all of us sooner or later. So it’s up to us to make peace with this world and with our Maker. And thus allow the transition across the veil to be peaceful and loving as we make our way to God. Fear itself nothing but a worry about the ending of the body, a habit that we establish here on this plane for 80, 90, or a 100 years or longer. It’s time to give up the habit, time to awaken to our true spiritual nature, thus finding great peace as we move on to even greater adventures.
