“Organic Fiesta Tostadas”

Here is a wonderful, healthy, quick dish that the whole family will go crazy for. This recipe only takes minutes to make and it’s very healthy with all the goodness of organic black beans and it looks beautiful on a plate. These tostadas taste wonderful, and can be used for a quick dinner or lunch when things are rushed or they can be used as a party dish.

12 – Organic Corn Tortillas

3 – Large Organic Tomatoes – Chopped

12 – Oz of Organic Refried Beans –  None Fat and Vegetarian

12 – Oz of Organic Black Beans

12 – Oz of Organic Yellow Corn

12 – Oz of Organic Black Olives

3 – Cups of Organic Romain Lettuce

1 – 12oz Bottle of Any Kind of Organic Taco Sauce

Spray Organic Olive Oil for the Pan

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Take the corn tortillas and spray a little bit of oil in a heavy frying pan and heat the tortillas until crisp. Or take the tortillas and place them on an open flame until the edges start to get dark and the tortilla becomes slightly crisp… that’s my favorite way to do this.

Then add a layer of organic refried beans and then the lettuce, the lettuce will stick to the beans making it easy to build the tostadas. Then add a mixture of organic corn and black beans and then add the olives on top… and salt and pepper to taste. And the last thing just before serving add a bit of taco sauce.

Then serve and enjoy!

Health Benefits of Organic Black Beans

Black beans contain anthocyanins which are also found in tart cherries, red wine, and pomegranates. Thus black beans are full of wonderful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents that can help with lots of health problems… plus black beans are very inexpensive. Black beans contain wonderful nutrients that lower uric acid levels in joints and kidneys thus ending the cycle of joint pain associated with this disease. In Taiwan black beans are commonly used to treat gout. And black beans also help with arthritis in general, sooth away pain, swelling, and redness. And in Brazil black beans are given their own special part of the food pyramid because they are so healthy.

Black beans are great for digestive problems because they contain lots of fiber and resistant starch similar to green bananas. And the fiber and the resistant starch creates a good home for probiotic bacteria, with nutrients for growing probiotic bacteria… thus boost immunity.

We should have about 4 pounds of probiotic bacteria in our gut, and at this time most people only have about 20% of that. That means we need to create a more proactive gut environment for growing good bacteria black beans also help the cardiovascular system with soluble fiber to lower cholesterol, and anti-inflammatory agents that help to prevent inflammation in veins and arteries thus preventing heart attacks.

Black beans also helps to lower blood sugar and that’s great news for diabetics. Black beans contain proteins and fiber that stabilize blood sugar. This wonderful broth also contains lots of B – Vitamins that nourish the nervous system and thus improves mood and boosts vitality. When it comes to cancer prevention black beans contain 8 wonderful flavonoids such as kaempferol, nalvidin, delphinidin, quercetin, and petunidin, that help to prevent colon cancer and other types of prevalent cancers. Studies show that eating black beans prevents cancerous growths in the colon.

Black beans contain molybdenum which is important for healing impotence in men and for detoxing the body. Plus black beans also contains iron and copper for preventing anemia.

Remember Always Eat Organic – Regular fruits and veggies in markets contain 6 cancer causing chemicals, 12 hormone disrupting chemicals, and 10 other disease causing chemicals – Not Good – Eat Organic and Stay Healthy.

Enjoy this Festive Recipe!

My wife loves these tostadas so I make them often.
