“Lowers Cholesterol by 100 Points”
Pu-Erh tea has the ability to lower cholesterol, it’s great for digestion, it’s full of probiotic bacteria, and it helps with stress and relaxes a person so they can sleep and more.
Pu-Erh tea (pronunced poo-air) like black, green, and oolong tea is another great tea from the orient that most people don’t know about. And pu-erh tea has so many great health benefits that it really deserves much more attention.
Lowers Cholesterol – Pu-Erh tea helps to lower cholesterol by as much as 100 points for some people. It contains a statin called lovastatin and it’s a natural statin that works just about as well as those prescription drug statins on the market. It lowers LDL or bad cholesterol and it also helps increase good cholesterol or HDL cholesterol. Studies been done at the China Medical University in Taiwan and by the USDA show that pu-erh tea can do a good job of lowering cholesterol.
Contains Probiotics – Pu-Erh tea contains natural organisms that come from the fermentation process that help to boost up our probiotic bacteria in our gut. This tea contains lots of probiotics and also contains natural acids that feed the good bacteria thus boosting up our immune system even more. Pu-Erh contains aspergillus niger, saccharomyces rhizopus, penicillium, aspergillus glaucus, and other powerful healing probiotic bacteria.
Aids Digestion – Pu-Erh tea helps to sooth away GI upsets and it also lines the stomach with a membrane like substance that helps to prevent ulcers and irritations.
Blocks Fat Production – Pu-Erh Tea actually contains chemical agents that block the production of fatty within the body. Thus helping to prevent the production of more fat cells in general. Also Pu-Erh tea contains chemicals that enhance the production of “hormone sensitive lipase” which helps us use up the fat in every fat cell. Plus pu-erh tea increases the production of epinephrine and norepinephrine which boost up our metabolism… thus we burn more fat. This is not a quick fix weight loss process, but in combination with a good diet and exercise pu-erh tea can make a huge difference over a period of 6 months of so. The college of medicine in Taiwan also did studies showing that pu-erh tea actually did help a person lose weight.
Helps with Sleep and Stress – Even though pu-erh tea contains caffeine it also helps to relax because it contains theanine and Gaba which help to increase the production of melatonin in the brain, thus creating a relaxed mood, it changes sleep patterns, and reduce stress in general. Thus drinking a little pu-erh tea in the late afternoon can promote good sleep.
Arteriosclerosis – A study done at Yuanpei University in Taiwan showed that pu-erh can help to prevent and heal arteriosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases.
Detox with Simple Sugars – Pu-Erh tea contains simple sugars that are produced during the fermentation process that break down and reduce toxins in the body. In Chinese Medicine it’s called “Warm the Middle Burner” thus binding together toxic acids and removing them from our blood and the rest of the body.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine – In TCM pu-erh tea increases yin and also helps to decrease internal dampness or the buildup of toxins in the body. Coffee on the other hand is a yang promoting agent that warms the body, makes it sluggish and with the build up of negative elements.
Anti-Inflammatory – Pu-Erh tea also contains some powerful antioxidants that are great anti-inflammatory agents that help with pain, swelling, and redness. Thus making pu-erh tea an additional healing agent for arthritis and joint disease.
Diabetes – Studies done at Jilin University in Taiwan show that pu-erh tea also helps to balance blood sugar and lower blood sugar… making it good for those with diabetes.
Cancer – There are about 12 studies from around the world showing that the antioxidants in pu-erh tea can prevent cancer and stop the progression of cancer… more studies to be done.
DNA Repair – Pu-Erh tea contains agents that prevent and heal DNA damage and thus prevent disease.
Taste – Pu-Erh tea has a strong herbal flavor that some people find a bit difficult to enjoy, but the taste does grows on a person after awhile.
Forms – Pu-Erh tea can be found as loose leaf tea and in fermented cakes.
Finding – Pu-Erh tea can be found on-line by googling “Buy Fermented Pu-Erh Tea” or at Asian Markets, and it can also be order on Amazon and Ebay.
Enjoy Pu-Erh Tea!
