“Organic Plantain Pasta with Carrots and Kale”

“A Whole Foods Plant Based Recipe That’s Sure to Please”

Here is a wonderful organic and vegan recipe that’s great tasting and everyone will love it. Plus this dish is hearty enough for a winter meal and it’s full of energy and good nutrition. And this recipe is very quick and simple to make— and people will come back for seconds.

4 – Large Organic Plantains – Made into Spaghetti Strips – Cut the ends off the plantain, make two cuts on either side through the peel and peel off the skin. Then use a peeler that makes long spaghetti like strips and make the whole plantain into strips. Plantains can be found at regular supermarkets in this day and age or at Asian and Latin Markets.

2 – Large Organic Carrots – Made into Spaghetti Strips

2 – Cups of Organic Kale – Chopped

3 – Organic Veggie Salt Free Bouillon Cubes

10 – Cloves of Organic Garlic – Minced

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Enough Filtered Water to Cover all the Plantain Strips plus a little more.

(Optional) – You can also add Organic Marinara Sauce or Pesto Sauce on Top for more flavor.

Take the plantain strips and place them in a large pot and add water with the bouillon cubes, garlic, and boil until the plantain strips are thoroughly cooked. This usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Then strain and cook the strips and add salt and pepper to taste and let cool.

Mix the plantain strips with the carrot strips and kale and arrange on a plate.

Remember, for added flavor marinara sauce or pesto sauce can be poured over this pasta.

Health Benefits of Organic Plantains

Plantains grow in Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Central America, South America, parts of Australia, and in the US in Florida, Hawaii, and any where in a green house. Plantains contains lots of potassium for lowering blood pressure, help heal gastric ulcers, contain lots of vitamins, build strong bones, helps with anemia, boosts up our immune system, are great for weight loss, have a very low glycemic index compared to potatoes (a baked russet potato has a glycemic index over 100 while plantains have a glycemic index of 13— big difference).

Plus plantains are cholesterol free, have great fiber for building probiotics, are low in calories, and contain lots of Omega 3 oils for great health. And plantains are super tasty and have lots of great recipes google “Healthy Plantain Recipes” and lots of great recipes will come up. And with global warming plantains will be over taking the potato as a food source in the future.

Health Benefits of Organic Kale

Kale is great for the body and some people call it a miracle food.

Kale is full of lots of nutrients found in green leafy veggies that will alkalize our body… and it’s full of Vitamins, A (more than 500% of your RDA of Vitamin A), C (More than 200%), and B6 and K (About 700%) and also calcium, manganese, and potassium. Kale also contains iron for building up our red blood cells and preventing anemia and boosting up our vitality.

Plus it has lots of lutein and zeaxathin that are great for preventing macular degeneration. And kale boosts up our immune system, promotes healthy blood clot formation, and kale is also loaded with beta-carotene helping to prevent cancer and other disease—and it’s also anti-inflammatory too!

And kale is part of the cabbage family all of which contain colon cancer preventing nutrients. And kale boosts up our metabolism and helps us lose weight.

Remember to Eat Organic – Regular veggies contain up to 6 cancer causing chemicals, 12 hormone disrupting chemicals, and 10 other disease causing chemicals, and some veggies contain even more chemicals—- so please eat organic and stay healthy.
