“The Seeker of Truth is Liberated”

Swami Nikhilananda said:

The seeker of truth of nonduality must continually remember the detached nature of Self and must seek to give up all identification with the ego. It is the ego that draws the Self back again and again into the world of ignorance. Ego aggravates desires. When desires increase, activities also increase. And when there is an increase of activities, there is an increase of desires. Thus desires and activities continue to move in a vicious circle, and man’s imprisonment in the body is never at an end. The destruction of desires is liberation, and the man free from desires is called Jivanmukta, one liberated while living in the body.
