I was with some people the other day and some were very heavy, some were thin, and some were average. We went to lunch and the thin ones had salad, the heavy ones had a fried steak, and the average ones had soup and salad. It’s all about habit… most of what we do every day is a habit. But we can break free of these habits and create the life we want.
Henry David Thoreau wrote:
As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a single pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.
Thoughts are Habits
On the average, every thought we have is a habit. About 95% of what we think are habitual thoughts… thoughts that come and go and we think about them daily. But are these habitual thoughts helping us or not?
Everything is Connected to Our Habitual Thinking
Throughout our day our create our day. If we think about being healthy, then we are health conscious and make healthy choices. If we think about being loving, kind, and compassionate… then we then care of ourselves and everyone else.
But Most People Don’t Feel They Have Control Over Their Mind
Most people don’t feel they have control over their thinking… and that’s a big myth. Down through the ages all the sages, spiritual teachers, avatars, and spiritual masters have all said: “We are what we think and we have control of our thinking”.
Take Control of Your Mind and Take Control of Your Life and Destiny!
It takes willpower to control your thinking and start thinking positive, loving, caring, healthy, compassionate thoughts in our mind. And think these kinds of thoughts day in and day out 24/7. We have over 20,000 different thoughts daily move through our head… and most of them we just allow to happen.
And that’s not good!
We need to take control of our thinking!
And thus we take control of our life and destiny!
