“From Healing the Symptoms to Preventing Sinusitis in General” 

Cajeput Oil – Cajeput oil is commonly used in combination with eucalyptus and many other flower essential oils and carrier oils. Cajeput oil is used in vaporizers to open up nasal passages, sinuses, and for calming mucus membranes and getting rid of pain, fevers, and it’s also a good expectorant for colds, allergies, and flu symptoms, plus it helps with bronchitis and laryngitis. Adding 20 to 25 drops of Cajeput oil to boiling water and breathing the vapors will open up sinuses and get rid pressure sinus headaches. And Cajeput oil is a good anti-inflammatory agent that helps with pain, swelling, and redness. This is the quick fix for healing the symptoms of sinusitis not for healing the cause.

Build Probiotics to Prevent Sinusitis – Sinusitis comes about because of an imbalance in good bacteria in our gut. And this lack of probiotics throws off our whole immune system and causes certain types of bad bacteria to take over and cause inflammation. So it’s important to eat at least 1 cup of sauerkraut daily or a 1/2 cup of kimchi 2 or 3 times a week. Also to eat organic oatmeal, cornmeal, and cooked green bananas and plantains 2 to 3 times weekly that contain lots of resistant starch that feed our good bacteria. Thus we keep our probiotics growing strong. 

Diet is Super Important – We become extremely sensitive to everything when we have 30 to 50 chemicals in our food that cause our bodies to create havoc. And also all animal products create a Trimethyl-N-Oxide Toxin which also starts disease and sometimes that disease can be sinusitis. These chemicals break down the one cell thick lining of our gut and that allows chemicals, food particles, and bacterial to cross over into the bloodstream and be attacked by our antibodies. 

And then those antibodies go looking for similar proteins and thus they start attacking our sinuses, joints, pancreas, heart, eyes, brain, and just about any part of the body that looks similar. Stinging Nettle for Sinus Pressure – Stinging Nettle works great for sinusitis. Nettle is great for getting rid of the symptoms of allergies such as dermatitis, hives, and hay fever and sinusitis. Research shows that Nettle is a good anti-histamine for allergies and other allergic reactions. If you suffer from swollen painful mucous membranes then Nettle will do the trick – works wonders for sore throats, inflammation, sinus pressure, and that runny nose. Nettle was studied in comparison with NSAID none steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs… and found that nettle did just as well as all the prescription drugs without the side effects. Take 2 – 400 mg capsules 2 or 3 times a day for only 7 to 10 days. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Guggul Resin for Inflammation – Guggul is a powerful antioxidant and full of amazing anti-inflammatory agents that will help with the symptoms of sinusitis. I have found that this is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory agents around that helps with just about any symptom of sinusitis. Take 125 to 1000 mg daily for no more than 7 days. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Quercetin for the Symptoms – This great antioxidant also works well if you have some kind of allergic reaction and sinusitis. It’s a natural flavonoid that comes from veggies, fruits, and even flowers and works well as a powerful antihistamine agent… and it’s also a great anti-inflammatory agent. Quercetin will help if you have swelling of the face, lips, runny nose, hives, and even itchy watery eyes. You can ask for Quercetin at your local health food store or order it online. Take 1 – 1000 mg capsule AM and PM for 7 to 10 days. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Butterbur is Excellent for Sinus Challenges – Some call Butterbur a natural antihistamine blocking agent that works extremely well. Helps with swelling, redness, rash, watery eyes, sinus inflammation and more. Plus Butterbur will not make you sleepy like some of the prescribed and over the counter medications, you will find at the drugstore. It also helps relax smooth muscles in upper airways so you can breathe better. And it also is a good anti-inflammatory agent thus helping with redness, swelling, and pain. Some people feel Butterbur works as well as over the counter medications for sinus challenges. You can buy Butterbur at your local health food store. Take 1 – 75 mg capsule once or twice a day for no more than 7 to 10 days. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Bromelain Works Wonders for the Pain and Swelling – This wonderful agent that comes from pineapples that slows histamine production and thus also helps with sinusitis. It is a good anti-inflammatory agent and helps with pain too, and helps with asthma and other respiratory problems. And it helps your skin recover faster from swelling and redness. Bromelain is also is a good immune boosting agent… thus helping you recover faster from sinus challenges. You can buy Bromelain drops or capsules at your local health food store. Take from 80 to 320 mg two or three times a day for no more than 7 to 10 days. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Organic Garlic a Powerful Antihistamine and Anti-inflammatory  – Garlic is well known a good antihistamine agent that works well for sinus challenges. If you have nasal congestion, sinus headaches, swelling then chop 3 to 6 or more garlic cloves up or mince them and add them to honey and swallow them down. Fresh garlic is best, it contains fresh oils which do the work… and they are new and unprocessed and will work more effectively than garlic capsules or pills. Garlic can be taken long term. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause. 

Organic Mangosteen for Sinus Problems – Mangosteen is a fruit that grows in tropical regions with a sweet white pulp inside and a tart outer rind that is full of powerful antioxidants that work well as a good antihistamine that works great for sinusitis. Mangosteen has amazing antihistamine properties and anti-inflammatory properties. Plus it can also help with high blood pressure, heart disease, and even prevent cancer. You can buy Mangosteen juice at your local health food store. This is food so use as much as you like within reason. Again here we are still taking care of the symptoms… not getting at the cause.
