Fiber Reduces the Risk for Colorectal Cancer

A new review provides more evidence that fatty diets boost cancer risk, while fiber reduces colorectal cancer risk. Published in Current Gastroenterology Reports, the study found that high-fat diets alter gut microbiota to boost cancer risk. Fiber has the opposite effect, stimulating the growth of friendly organisms that protect against cancer.
