Once there was a guru in India that a man from the states came to see him.
This man wanted more from life… and he had a deep feeling that this guru could help him. The guru recognized the man’s spiritual power, and told him that if he worked hard he would someday help millions.
And so the guru had him writing down this thoughts daily, meditating twice a day, and record his incites. This went on for a short time… then the man became restless and started doing other things instead of doing his spiritual work. Thus his writing, meditating, and recordings went to the wayside and became just fleeting thoughts.
Years later the man came back and wanted the guru to help him again, and he did, yet again he became involved in all kinds of worldly endeavors… and his soul work never came to fruition.
A third time the man came back… and this time the guru said, “There is no devotion here, not to me, but to yourself… you are the first person you have to be devoted too, otherwise you cannot help millions of people, millions of people could learn from you, and change their lives because of your great power, are you ready?”
The man walked away.
Thus many a great man has walked away from his power. We cannot make anyone take control of their life… they have to decide they are important and love themselves… and know that what they have to give… is also important.
