Why eat raw foods?
That’s a good question and it deserves a good answer.
*First of all we come into this world with a certain amount of enzymatic activity going on in our bodies. And those activities are vital for live, for creating energy, muscular activity, brain activity, pancreatic activity, digestive abilities and the list goes on and on.
*If we eat only cooked food our pancreas is stressed to the max providing more enzymes to do the work of breaking down food… food that’s seen as an invader in the body. Cooked food also over taxes out immune system because our body is trying to save us from cooked food.
*Live food is not seen as an invader and those live enzymes components are essential for life. A lot more activity is put into breaking down cooked food (making possible for us to use the few remaining nutrients left in cooked food) that are not lost in the cooking process.
*That means that more vital life energy is being used to break down and protect our bodies from cooked food… than we are getting from cooked food. Perhaps “vital energy” in this form science does not understand yet… but I know in the next few years science will understand it.
*Eating only cooked food leads to diabetes, obesity, degenerative diseases, autoimmune problems, premature aging, chronic disease, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, strokes, cancer, and skin disease.
*Epidemiology studies show a powerful correlation between people who eat live enzyme foods such as fresh fruits and veggies with a lower possibility of coming down with cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and immune problems, and other degenerative diseases.
*Our liver produces most of our enzymes, and fresh fruits and veggies detox the liver and provide healing for the liver… so that the liver can function at 100% capacity. When eating cooked food the detoxing of theses foods burden the liver… and lower the livers capacity to function correctly.
*Live food directly from the garden is full of enzymes that are not found in cooked food or food shipped long distances. And many of these live enzymes are responsible for youthful appearance, vitality, and good mood.
*A new study BBC News shows that old mice given blood from young mice had powerful increase in mental abilities, vitality, and muscular abilities. Could it be that live enzymes in young blood revitalized the whole organism? Of course more studies are being done… but we have a great possibility that we may live longer and feel great in the near future.
*Dr. Gabriel Cousens says: “Living or raw foods are highly rejuvenating. Plant-based foods in their original, un-heated (uncooked) state are considered raw and alive. They include fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, seaweed and fresh juices. *And perhaps that is the key, the ability to regenerate new cells everyday, and keep that youthful appearance and vital energy! Cooked food does not have all the vital energy, the nutrients, and the enzymes to allow our bodies to regenerate.
*Dr. Brain Clements of the Hippocrates Health Institute talks about the abilities of raw foods and that vital energy to heal… and create health and wellness.
*Dr. Dean Ornish talks about healing disease and turning around heart disease, cancer, and even depression… with healthy live foods and with lifestyle changes.
*And there are hundreds of other specialists that recommend live foods.
I feel “LIVE RAW FOODS = LIFE!”
That cooked food is death!
We have become accustom to eating cooked food and old habits die hard…
but they can be changed!
Eat at least 80 to 90% raw foods and live longer.
I see in the future people going out to their garden and eating lots of raw foods… and living long healthy lives.
