The Health Benefits of Epazote Tea – Great for Tapeworms

Epazote is a green leafy veggie that grows in Latin American and is popular in Mexico and used in cooking of many cultural dishes… and it has many health benefits.

It’s sometimes called Jesuits Tea or Mexican Tea and it’s not the most pleasant tasting tea in the world… in fact some say it tastes terrible (The word epazote means smelly animal) but it does help in many great ways.

Epazote Tea is great for gas and GI distress and helps with parasite infestations too. The tea is also very good for calming down GI spasms and helps with asthma and other respiratory conditions by opening up the lungs, and it also regulates menstrual cycles

Studies show that Epazote is very effective against tape worms infestations, and somewhat less effective for hookworms. And Epazote has a calming effect on the nervous system thus helping with stress. Studies show that Epazote is good at preventing stomach ulcers, and works well against some forms of tuberculosis bacteria too.

Epazote contains lots of folic acid and A, B, and C vitamins, plus selenium, copper, zinc, iron, manganese, calcium, potassium, protein, and one of the most powerful antioxidants Superoxide Dismutase.

It contains a lot of manganeses important for healthy nerves, lowering cholesterol, thyroid gland health, blood glucose regulation, strong bones, and helps with skin rashes too.

And in tribal medicine Epazote has traditionally used for parasites, excessive mucus secretions, and coughs.

If you cook beans and other gas creating foods, adding a little bit of Epazote prevents the formation of gas, and it can also be used in salads, fish dishes, potato dishes, soups, and even quesadillas.

You can order Epazote Tea on-line or ask for it at your local health food store.
