Here are three important herbs for building muscle mass. Of course working out with weights, lifting, doing cross fit, and other exercises are extremely important for building muscle mass. But their are also some great herbs that can help build muscle mass. These three herbs used in combination with exercise can create a large muscular body… and help to prevent loss of muscle mass with old age.
Tribulus Terrestris – Tribulus Powder is well known for increasing testosterone in both men and women and thus also increasing libido for both. New studies have shown that it increases sexual performance and libido within 24 hours. And some people also use it for its blood pressure and cholesterol lowering ability. Plus it has been used to treat headaches and some nervous disorders and also works like an antioxidant. Because it increases testosterone it also increase muscle mass and helps reduce the effects of aging. This is one of the best ways to increase testosterone naturally. And testosterone building is a great way to gain more muscle mass. Men should have a fair amount of testosterone and women also should have some testosterone, not too much but a little. As we age men and women both have less and less testosterone produced, especially men. And thus muscle mass starts to decrease which is common as we age. So adding a little bit of Tribulus to ones diet can make all the difference in the world. Tribulus can be found at any health food store and it can also be ordered on-line. The normal dose is about 500 to 1000 mgs once a day.
Suma Root – Suma Root grows in South America and has many great health benefits for modern man. People who use Suma Root breathe better, have better workouts, and recover faster. Suma Root boosts energy and endurance, helps with stress, and enhances your mood, great for hard working people. Suma Root perks up your immune system, supports cardiovascular health… and also lowers blood pressure and cholesterol. Suma Root is great for sexual energy and libido, and Suma Root contains beta-ecdysterone a powerful phytosteroid that helps to build muscle without negative side effects. Studies show that beta-ecdysterone increases muscle mass in athletes by 6 to 7% and even lower body fat by 9 to 10 %… and beta-ecdysterone lowers cholesterol. Suma Root contains Vitamins A, B’s, E and even Vitamin K… and host of great trace minerals including iron, zinc, magnesium. Suma Root lowers blood sugar levels for those with high glucose, meaning it may work well for people suffering with type II diabetes, and it’s also a good anti-cancer agent because it’s rich in antioxidants. Suma Root balances hormones helping with PMS and menopause, and it’s even a popular food in certain areas of South America. Plus Suma Root has no side effects, and Suma Root can be found in your local health food store or you can order it on-line. The normal dose for Suma Root is about 1000 to 2000 milligrams once a day.
TongKat Ali – TonKat Ali Powder is a powerful sexual enhancement aid. Tongkat Ali increases testosterone production and thus helps to enhance lean muscle and produces a powerful libido. TongKat Ali also boosts erectile function, increases athletic performance, and stamina. Plus is also increases sexual sensations and creates enhanced sexual pleasure… and creates more sexual thoughts. Plus TongKat Ali also enhances mood, depression, and stress, plus it also increases sperm production. TongKat Ali is a herb that should only be taken for a week or so, because it seems that when the herb is not being taken is when a person sees the most gain in muscle mass. So don’t take it daily, take it for 7 days and the take one week off and then come back to taking TongKat Ali. If taken more often it doesn’t seem to do any good at all… so it’s best to take TongKat Ali with an on-off regiment. TongKat Ali can be found at any health food store and it can also be ordered on-line. The recommended dose is 1.2 grams per day… but I find that way too much, I recommend 250 milligrams because it can create a stiff neck if too much is taken. So try 250 milligrams and then go up if need be.
Remember everyone is different, and just like some people with certain antibiotics that don’t do them any good at all. Or some people with certain anti-depressant medications that don’t work for them, the same goes for herbs. We are all different and thus we have to try different herbs to find out what really works for us.
And remember that herbs by themselves will not do any good for building muscle mass without working out and going to the gym and stressing those muscles. When we stress muscles to their max we create little micro tears in the muscle fibers, and when they heal they heal bigger and stronger than before… thus we gain muscle mass.
