5 – Cups of Coarse Ground None GMO Corn Meal Cooked with Veggie Stock
6 – Medium Portobello Mushrooms – with salt and pepper sprinkled on each one.
5 – Cups of Chopped Swiss Chard
2 – Large None GMO Tomatoes Sliced
1/2 – Cup of No Salt Italian Seasoning
1 1/2 – Cups of Nutritional Yeast Flakes
1 – 900 Gram Jar of None GMO and Low Sodium Marinara Sauce
Salt and Pepper to Taste – Go easy on the salt
Spray Cooking Oil
In a large 9 x 13 glass or metal baking dish sprayed with just enough cooking oil on it to cover the pan. Put down a thick layer of Corn Meal and then add your portobello mushrooms with the under surface of the mushroom facing up.
Now pour on the chopped swiss chard and Italian seasoning… add salt and pepper to taste and add some nutritional yeast flakes.
Next put down slices of tomato over everything and pour on the marinara sauce.
Pour on more corn meal and top with nutritional yeast flakes.
(Optional) add some tofu, avocado, and italian seasoning mashed together and put that on the top and then add the yeast flakes over that.
Now bake for 60 minutes at 400 degrees… until everything is nice and brown.
Swiss Chard has over 7 times that daily amount of Vitamin K needed for good health and preventing unwanted clotting in arteries, twice the daily amount of Vitamin A which is important for boosting your immune system , and half your needs of Vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant. Plus Vitamin E for preventing cataracts and lowering cholesterol. B Vitamins for energy, metabolism, and vitality, plus tryptophan for a good nights rest.
And Swiss Chard has lots of wonderful trace minerals including phosphorus and calcium for strong bones, zinc for boosting your immune system so you don’t catch colds, copper and iron for anemia, manganese for preventing osteoporosis, plus magnesium for enzyme creation and regulation. And Swiss Chard has lots of fiber for colon health… and for creating the best environment for the growth of probiotic bacteria. And Swiss Chard contains some protein and hardly any fat making it great for weight loss.
Portobello Mushrooms are low in fat, high in protein, and have very low sodium. They also contain lots of l-erothioneine which is a very powerful antioxidant and polyphenols like that found in green tea that help protect you from cardiovascular disease, strokes, and cancer. And studies show that eating Portobello Mushrooms reduces the possibility of coming down with Alzheimer’s disease.
Tomatoes also contain lots of lycopene that’s a powerful antioxidant that’s well known to prevent Breast, Prostate, and Stomach Cancer and boost your immune system. Studies show that eating tomatoes lowers your risk of prostate cancer by more than 30%. And another study shows that eating tomatoes lowered your chances of coming down with pancreatic cancer by over 40%. And low levels of lycopene have been found in people who come down with colon cancer and growths… so it’s very important to eat your tomatoes.
Plus Nutritional Yeast has over 13 grams of protein per oz (high protein), and with very few calories – lower than 80 calories per oz. Just a couple of tablespoons has more protein than you find in 6 grams of beef, 1 egg, and even 1 cup of milk. – Wow! So if you work out hard and want some great protein in your diet, add some Nutritional Yeast to your workout smoothie.
