“Take Herbs and Supplements for 7 to 10 Days”

Lots of people think that just because an herb is something natural and comes from a plant that it can be taken forever. And that’s generally not true. Herbs and some supplements should only be taken for short periods of time… preferably about 7 to 10 days.

Take Most Herbs and Supplements for Only 7 to 10 Days

Some of our first medications were made from herbs such as valerian was made into the medication valium. Now they are made valium synthetically… not made from plants. Yet, herbs like other powerful healing or medications do eventually place a burden on our liver, kidneys, and nervous system. And like anything else that we abuse… it’s best to use herbs, supplements, and medications with care… and use them only when we need them.

Of course, there are some exceptions like food and spice type herbs. Those types of herbs can be taken for long periods of time. Like Chlorella which is an alga that can be taken every single day because it’s food. Turmeric is another one that can be taken for longer periods of time because it’s a spice. Also horseradish, garlic, peppers, and many others that are spices or foods. And vitamins are another one that can be taken for long periods of time.

Plus there are some herbal supplements like Hawthorne Berry which is well tolerated by the body for longer periods of time… sometimes up to 6 months. But that’s not the answer… the answer, in general, is changing our diet.

If we want to boost up our immune system we need to change our diet, if we want to become stronger we need to change our diet. If we want to prevent diseases such as cardiovascular disease, strokes, diabetes, and even cancer then we need to change our diet.

In fact, if we change to a Whole-Foods Plant-Based diet we can make a person completely bulletproof to cardiovascular disease and strokes. And we can even prevent diabetes and keep away cancer for the most part.

But people are very interesting, they would rather take a pill than to change their diet. As the old saying goes, “Old Habits Die Hard” and that’s REALLY true when it comes to changing our diet.

Many are not willing to give up the pleasures of some foods in order to keep from having some kind of disease process take over in the future. In fact, I have seen this happen a few thousand times now… where people would rather have heart disease or high blood pressure than change their diet. In some ways, that’s kind of sad, but in other ways, it’s our power of choice, and we have a right to choose whatever it is we want to choose.

So on the average use herbs and supplements for 7 to 10 days… and change your diet and enjoy a Wonderful Life.
