Many of us come down with a stiff neck or muscle cramps and this formula does a great job of relaxing, soothing, and allowing neck and body spasms to disappear… plus it also helps with getting a good nights rest.
Take 2 parts Ashwagandha Root powder, 1 part Cramp Bark powder and 2 parts Valerian Root powder… hence the name “Formula 2-1-2”. This formula can be mixed in powder form and then made into capsules for later use… or pre-made store bought capsules can be used.
Ashwagandha Root – A lot of stiff muscles are caused by stress and ashwagandha is of great help to relax the body, get rid of anxiety, to take the edge off our stress and for boosting our immune system.
Ashwagandha is one of the best all around herbs for the body in general… and helps to relax our muscles so we can have a great nights rest. It’s one of the few things that will also help when we drink too much coffee thus helping to calm the mind and allowing rest and relaxation to settle in… thus ending insomnia.
Ashwagandha also inhibits anxiety, promotes mental clarity, rejuvenates the body, and improves stamina and energy. Plus Ashwagandha is a powerful antioxidant that removes free radicals from our body and promoting good cardiovascular health, and preventing strokes and cancer.
Dose – The recommended dose for this purpose is about 800 mgs of the powder – or two 400 mg capsules.
Cramp Bark – Cramp Bark powder is great for tight cramped muscles and spasms in general. Artificial colors, sweeteners, and all the toxins we have around can cause spasms… and Cramp Bark does a great job of getting rid of those spasms. And Cramp Bark is very safe and works well.
Cramp Bark relaxes smooth muscle and also striated muscle tissue. Smooth muscles is located in our GI tract, in our arteries, bronchi, uterus, and other involuntary process of the body. While striated muscle are the powerful muscles we use everyday to walk, run, and get around in the world. Thus cramp bark has the ability to relax and end spasms of both types of muscle tissue. Thus making it great for getting rid of that nagging pain that will not go away.

Valerian Root – Valerian is one of the best herbs for stress… helping with insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, and inducing relaxation. And valerian is not addictive and has proven to be safe, effective, and side effect free it taken in normal amounts. And valerian has been used all the way back to the middle ages without problems. In fact at certain times it was used as food, and it even given to the soldiers during WW1 to calm their stress.
Also valerian relaxes muscles and the whole body during sleep… thus you have less aches, pains, and stiffness in the morning. Valerian contains gamma animo butyric acid which allows the brain to relax and calm away anxiety… thus creating natural sleep without feeling groggy in the morning.
And valerian is very important for fatigue, because not sleeping well creates fatigue.Valerian is a good anti-inflammatory helping with swelling, pain, and redness, plus it also calms nerves and promotes peace of mind.Valerian also works as a very good antispasmodic agent for the GI tract and for muscles cramps.
Also works well for irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease… and also for PMS pain, headaches, and cramps. Works wonders for colic, diarrhea, gas, bloating, and indigestion from stress.
Dose – The recommended dose for this formula is 1000 mgs of the powder or two 500 mg capsules.
Take this formula just before bedtime, and take a few minutes to rest and relax away from people, distractions, computers, and television. Read a book for a few minutes, say a prayer, or meditate and then slowly get ready for bed.
Stress can override even herbs and medications… so make sure to do some deep breathing and get away from all the craziness of the day just before taking this formula, thus allowing those tight muscles to relax and let go.
